19 Jul What to Know About Pet Ear Infections
Ear infections are a common problem in cats and dogs due to the L shape of their ear canals.
🐶 Causes of pet ear infections include allergies, heat, trapped moisture, excessive ear wax, ear mites, foreign material, and unknown growth.
🦮 Breeds with floppy ears like Cocker Spaniels, Poodles or Golden Retrievers can be more prone to ear infections.
👀 Symptoms of an ear infection include red or inflamed ear, black/brown or yellow/green discharge, strong odor, ear scratching or shaking of head, whimpering, loss of balance, hearing loss, unusual eye movements or walking in circles.
💭 If you suspect your furry friend has an infection, take them to your veterinarian to get checked out.
