Patient of the Week – Ruby (Video)

While hiking in the forest, Ruby was brought to the ER after a stick penetrated her chest creating a large wound.

X-rays were done to determine how deep the puncture was and if any vital organs were affected. Surgery was performed to close the wound.

She has had some follow-up visits to address some challenges in the healing process but is on the mend under the care of her amazing parents!
