Patient of the Week – Deacon

This handsome boy is Deacon. If you think he looks like he has a big squishable face, you are correct. He came to Mountainside for vomiting, lethargy, inappetence, and diarrhea.

When he arrived, he was very quiet and quite dehydrated with an uncomfortable abdomen. His bloodwork was consistent with pancreatitis and he improved well with IV fluids and medications (anti-nausea, gastroprotectants, antibiotic, and pain-relief).

He enjoyed some decent but half-hearted snuggles throughout his stay at Mountainside, but he is happy to be back home (with superior snuggles) for the rest of his recovery!
