Dr. Evy Van Nobelen received her Bachelor and Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Prior to pursuing her interest in animal sciences and the human-animal bond, she earned an undergraduate degree in Architectural Design from Oklahoma State University.
After obtaining her veterinary degree, she worked in the Yukon Territory and Kelowna before moving to the Lower Mainland. Dr. Van Nobelen is very happy to have joined the Mountainside family in 2018 and is looking forward to building a partnership with pet owners to improve their pet’s health. She has a special interest in surgery, emergency medicine, feline medicine, ophthalmology, and dentistry.
When she is not at work, Dr. Van Nobelen enjoys knitting, traveling, and sketching people in context and urban places. Dr. Van Nobelen also has an interest in foreign languages and is fluent in Dutch and Indonesian. She has one naughty, demanding kitty named Heineken, who is a rescue from the Yukon Territory who also happens to be fluent in English and Dutch!

Located in North Vancouver, Mountainside Animal Hospital and 24 hour Emergency Services is always open. We will see any emergency, critical care and time-sensitive medical condition. We also accept transfers from our surrounding general practice partners.
