Dr. Debrah Iden
Dr. ‘Debs’ Iden grew up in the Alberta countryside surrounded by animals. She completed a BSc (Zoology) and a MSc (Pharmacology) at the University of Alberta before following her roots to Glasgow for a top-notch education in both Scottish culture and Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Iden graduated in 2009 and worked as a locum in a variety of small animal practices in and around Glasgow while raising her two young children. In 2012, the family moved to Vancouver where she has worked since. Dr. Iden is known for her boundless compassion and dedication to her patients and their families. Her professional interests include small animal emergency medicine, neurology, and surgery.
Outside of the hospital, Debs can be found at Vancouver Aquatic centre flipping, twisting, and diving on the springboards.
The family zoo includes two former patients: Penny, a cuddly Pug-Chihuahua cross and Phil, a ridiculously patient and loving black cat. Hanna, the Great Dane cross, is the ‘baby’ of the family and she adores both of her tiny furry friends.
