07 Jul COVID-19 Update – July 7, 2020
We continue to monitor the Covid pandemic and continue to follow the guidelines outlined by the provincial government and the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia. As an essential service, we cannot take any risks and need to protect our staff and members of the public. For this reason, we will continue to restrict public entry into our building.
We have established a very efficient system of safely bringing pets into the building and communicating with owners via phone and email.
As a reminder, please read the following:
- Our underground carpark is now open every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and we encourage clients to use this as a “waiting room” especially on hot days. Please note that you must either phone upon arrival or use the buzzer. Please do not use the public elevator to come upstairs. If your pet is immobile or needs a stretcher, a staff member(s) will come down to transport him or her via our medical staff elevator.
- We are allowing family members to attend euthanasia’s in a specially allocated room within the hospital. We ask that family members follow the protocol we have in place with regards to hand sanitizing, wearing a mask and other personal protective equipment. When scheduling, our receptionists will give you clear instructions on what to expect.
- Spays and neuters will be performed for existing clients only at this time.
- New puppy & kitten vaccine series will continue but we will refer routine vaccinations to other clinics.
We will send our next update in early August. We thank you for your continued patience, understanding and support – We deeply appreciate it!
